I — THE FRUIT

Why avocados

The category case is simple: European demand keeps growing, Kenya's exports have grown year on year for a decade, and since July 2024 Kenyan fruit enters the EU duty-free.

It helps that the fruit earns its keep on nutrition, not just novelty. A Hass avocado carries more potassium than a banana, alongside folate, fibre and vitamins E, K, C and B6 — almost all of its fat monounsaturated, and none of it cholesterol. That profile is what keeps the demand curve climbing.

THE FRUIT

Built to travel.

A thick, pebbled skin and dense, high-oil flesh — Hass ships better than any variety we grow.

Hass

The export flagship. Pebbled skin that ships well and a rich, high-oil flesh — the variety Europe asks for by name.

MAIN EXPORT · CAT 1–2

Fuerte

The smooth-skinned early variety — pear-shaped, green when ripe, first into the season.

EARLY WINDOW

Jumbo

An indigenous variety, grown for the local market and sold close to home.

LOCAL MARKET
OUR FARMING PRACTICES

Grown with care, picked by hand.

The fruit is handpicked at maturity and packed by trained teams to good-agricultural-practice standards. The crews who pick, grade and pack are paid fairly and on time — and the practices behind that are assessed by Rainforest Alliance and GRASP.

HANDPICKED

Every fruit is cut by hand at maturity, never shaken or dropped.

GAP STANDARD

Harvest and packing run to good-agricultural-practice standards, audited under GLOBALG.A.P.

TRACEABLE

Every lot is graded, weighed and recorded — traceable from the orchard row to the container.
